Uji Matcha Monster Ice Cream with Rice Dumpling and Matcha Jelly and Salted Cherry Jelly $14

šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø8 | 9 | 9.5 | Super cute presentation hehe! I love how cute the monster looked and the set up of the whole tray - would go back for the aesthetics :D

Monster ice cream - I really liked this! It was the perfect combination of sweet and bitter (from the matcha) and it came in little slivers, which was a really interesting texture.

Rice dumpling - was quite bland and I could taste the rice in the middle. To be honest was a bit confused about the taste? Maybe will go for the jam next time?

Matcha jelly - was alright, had a similar taste to the ice cream but less creamier and more bitter

Lychee jelly - you forgot this you clown SMH ok fine it was actually quite nice - the salt cut through the sweetness quite well and usually for dessert I’d think the salty/ sweet combo would come with ice cream but it worked for this one! The only thing is the flower was really salty and tasted kind of bitter.

Monster ice cream - Sometimes anything that comes in matcha can often have that powdery taste, but this felt really clean and smooth. Wasn’t too sweet which was really nice and the texture was awesome

Rice dumpling - Was so deceiving, I come to a dessert place to expect some sweet stuff ya feel so this ain’t it, it really was just a chewy ball, nothing too special

Matcha jelly - I mean it really is just matcha jelly, nothing too great but it was aight

Lychee jelly - Was very nicely presented and I liked how they went to the effort to put a flower in it. Was the better side dish in my opinion.

Japanese Dango $10

šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø7.5 | 8 | 8 | HmmMMmmMM yeah. The first bite I took was a bit strange cuz the mochi balls were quite bland too. It definitely had a great texture, quite chewy and stretchy (like how I think real mochi should be?). When I dipped the mochi in the sauce it was quite salty, and had the flavour of a viscous soy sauce? Was a bit confused first because I thought it would go well with sushi? I tried it a couple more times and I think the mochi/ sweet soy dipping really grew on me? I actually quite like it. The red bean was really sweet.

šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø5 | 7 | 8 |Yeahh this is the biggest letdown of the century holy moly, when I go to a dessert place and paying $10 I’m expecting some gourmet mochi balls. Maybe I’m not used to eating mochi balls that aren’t sweet (are they usually not sweet??) but I really wish they were sweeter especially if we’re paying TOP AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR. The weird brown sauce that came with it was literally thick soy sauce that would be perfect for sushi smh, the beans were a nice touch though.
