Beach Balls $16

šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø7 | 8.5 | 8.5 | The ambience of the store was so cute ! The light black and dark pastel armchairs with the wooden tables created such an inviting palette for the eye !

The dish itself was so aesthetic as well ! It isn’t often that I find a blue dessert (but I guess judging from my past couple of meals I’ve had quite a bit of success) that tastes good, and this one definitely fit the criteria.

The ā€˜balls’ in this case were deep fried sweet potato mochi, which wasn’t too oily and fit well with the blue custard. The sand had some gold sprinkled on top, which I absolutely love because it makes me feel like a princess hehe (yes I know I am quite basic).

The only thing that I would change would be the ratio between the butterfly pea flower custard and the other ingredients, but overall very pleasing dish.

šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø7.5 | 8 | 8.5 | At first glance, it is hard to decipher what each item on the plate is and what it represents. However, as the name suggests, the plate is decorated in a fashion to represent a bunch of beach balls lying in the sand next to the ocean. Except in this case, the ā€˜beach balls’ were actually deep fried sweet potato mochi balls, the ā€˜sand’ tasted like grinded up biscuits and the ā€˜ocean’ was a butterfly pea flower custard. The whole dish was just an incredible combination of textures and tastes. Some of the other desserts sold at the restaurant look equally as interesting and I would love to try them sometime !!
